Senior Java Developer

  • Our Financial client in Zurich, Switzerland is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in full-time permanent position.

    Job specification

    • Work with engineers, product managers and other stakeholders to deliver useful features
    • Lead development and build tasks which contribute to the delivery of working software
    • Contribute to the analysis and testing of working software
    • Ensure user stories are delivered and agreed objectives are met
    • Contribute to agile ceremonies like planning, including sizing stories, parsing user stories into tasks etc.
    • Ensure continued improvement through conducting regular retrospective reviews and executing high priority actions that emerge

     

    Required profile

    • Engineer or Master Degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering).
    • At least 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably within the banking industry
    • Experienced in using the Java and Microsoft stack, familiar with front end technologies. You will primarily be working with:
    • Oracle, MS SQL, SSRS / Power BI
    • Tomcat, JBoss and other web servers
    • Spring Boot, REST APIs
    • Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS (understanding of web security is required)
    • Maven, Gradle, Git, Azure DevOps
    • Knowledge of Temenos Transact or other core banking packages is a big plus
    • Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies (SAFe)
    • Good understanding of the business context (Wealth Management, Financial Services)
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, German a big plus

You will be part of the IT Development department, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining key business applications and

Equity Derivatives Trader

Experienced Equity Derivatives Trader to join an expanding team covering APAC with previous exposure to either HK or JP markets. This can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore.

It is important to have current experience with managing both the book and the risk (not someone who only does automation).

You should ideally have some experience working on a Single stocks structured products desk and trade products such as autocallables (Fixed Coupon Note), accumulator/Decumulators , Bonus Certificate etc.

Experience working on Index structured products desk trade products such as autocallables would also be considered.

Area Overview:

Job Description:

The candidate will be required to provide 1st line support to business users. The candidate needs to have good communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate needs to be able to perform varied tasks to support applications, middleware systems, databases and servers to ensure application stability for the user community. We are looking for a team player with a desire to work with a diverse user community.

This is a Front office role with the following responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point for managing user inquiries with business applications
  • Work with vendors, internal development and business to deploy, maintain and configure custom applications and build new environments as required

Our financial client in London is seeking a Head of Commodities IT to head up and oversee their UK based teams.

Overall purpose of the role:

The Head of Global Markets IT UK is responsible of the Global Market IT scope in London.

Breakdown of the role:

  • 90% of the activity based around Commodities IT
  • 10% remaining on other activities in London represents the interface between London business and Head Office IT to escalate requests, needs or issues to Head Office IT and cascade Global Market IT information from Head Office.

The successful candidate will participate on the IT strategy within the Commodities business.
