PhP 10 Million worth of donation to honor Dr. George S.K. Ty’s generosity and memory go to charities

Metrobank Foundation, Inc. The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) announces that a total of PhP 7 million was raised from a number of individuals and groups who voluntarily contributed to chosen charities in memory of Metrobank founder Dr. George S.K. Ty. The amount will be donated to CBCP Caritas Filipinas Foundation, Philippine Red Cross, and the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) as previously announced.

In a recent turnover, Butch Meily, PDRF president, received the first tranche of the donations from MBFI president Aniceto Sobrepeña.

GT Foundation, Inc. (GTFI), the Ty family foundation, added PhP 3 million pesos and designated two more organizations to be the recipients¾the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) for its school building program and the Tzu Chi Foundation.
